MRI’s experience providing Code Compliance and Building Inspection Services to towns and villages throughout New Hampshire is unsurpassed. We understand the need for a balanced approach to code compliance and building inspection which focuses on voluntary compliance, while having the ability to prosecute violators when necessary. Our experience includes
both project-specific and general code compliance, along
with building inspection expertise. This includes the development of code compliance and building inspection processes and procedures, as well as implementation and training. The
code compliance and building inspection staff have extensive experience and qualifications to assist communities with
code compliance and building inspection services.

Project Specific Services
MRI can assist a municipality’s code compliance and building inspection services by providing support on specific projects. We have provided inspection services for large development/ or problem code compliance projects (i.e.
large retailers, junk yards, etc.). We have found these services are particularly useful in support of the municipal staff, which may not have the time to dedicate to resource intensive projects and problems or do not have the specific expertise required.
General Services
MRI can assist a municipality’s code compliance and building inspection needs by providing interim or long-term experienced staff to the municipality. We have worked in many communities in New Hampshire and have detailed knowledge of how to implement local and state law and provide experienced staff to assist in issuing building permits
and certificates of occupancy, as well resolving code compliance issues.
Procedures and Processes
MRI has an extensive knowledge of state law and local code compliance procedures,
as well as the legal system as it applies to code compliance and building inspection. We have worked with communities in auditing their code compliance and building inspection services to ensure compliance with local and state requirements.
We have written ordinances and manuals for communities to assist them in developing a code compliance system that meets the requirements of the state and is transparent and defendable.
