MRI has been working with Choose Franklin, a community development organization composed of citizens, activists, business leaders and municipal officials since 2004. Our efforts have been focused upon assisting the community in developing a comprehensive plan and positioning strategy for the future. Franklin is a community which began to decline with the end of the industrial era. It has long struggled to redefine itself and focus on its return to a center of commerce and community. MRI has worked closely with this organization and local officials to engage citizens and business leaders in identifying strengths and understanding weaknesses placing emphasis on targeting both short and long term opportunities. We continue to support them in their efforts to focus on action plans and develop local resources to strengthen the infrastructure of the community while building a vision for their future
